Impact
A screening can be a beginning.
01 Why
To the Moon and Back follows two Gen Z scientists – Pauline from the Philippines and Ilyasse from Morocco – and reveals how access to science, mobility and opportunity remains deeply unequal.
We believe that every young person, regardless of their geography, gender or financial background, should have the chance to imagine, question and shape our shared future.

Our vision — A manifesto
Space is often described as humanity’s next frontier. But who gets to be part of that future?
We believe that curiosity has no borders, talent has no gender, and dreams should not depend on where you are born.
Yet the inequalities that shape life on Earth are already shaping our ambitions beyond it.
We refuse to imagine a future in space that reproduces the injustices of our past.
Through storytelling, education and collective action, we want to open doors for a new generation of scientists, dreamers and changemakers.
Because exploring new worlds should also mean imagining a better one here on Earth.

Through screenings, workshops and encounters we bring young people into dialogue with scientists, astronauts, educators and decision-makers.
Our campaign turns the film’s momentum into real opportunities for exchange, learning and access.

04 The Moonshot
Our long-term ambition is to establish a recurring, scholarship-based student-led analog astronaut training programme in the Philippines. Developed with local partners and an international network of mentors, it uses space simulation as a tool for immersive STEM education, leadership and climate resilience.
04 The Moonshot
What if young people in the Philippines could experience a simulated space mission, conduct real scientific experiments and discover what they’re capable of — without leaving their country?
Inspired by the Swiss Asclepios model, we envision a recurring, student-led and free-of-charge analog astronaut training programme in Cebu, combining immersive STEM education, scientific experimentation, teamwork and leadership.
Not a promise of becoming an astronaut. An opportunity to think, experiment and lead like one.
The foundations are already taking shape: a habitat in Cebu is available through in-kind support, and we’re developing the initiative in ongoing collaboration with the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA).
We’re looking for:
- Mentors — scientists, engineers and educators, both online and in the region.
- Scientific experiments & equipment — hands-on research projects and tools for the simulated mission.
- Analog mission gear — including simulation spacesuits and training equipment.
- Five fully funded scholarships — enabling young people from remote Philippine islands to participate, with travel and participation costs covered.
Through space simulation, we want to nurture scientific curiosity, critical thinking and the confidence to tackle real-world challenges.
In a country on the frontlines of climate change, STEM education is more than a pathway to a career. It’s a way to understand our planet, develop solutions and build resilience within communities.
We are currently raising €12,000 in seed funding by January 2027 to launch Moonshot Pilipinas and support the first phase of the international campaign.
